Aerospace engineering deals with designing and building machines that fly. It is one of the newest branches of engineering, and began in the 19th century with the first experiments in powered flight. As technology progressed, two specialties emerged; aeronautical engineering, which involves designing aircraft such as powered lighter-than-air craft, gliders, fixed-wing airplanes and jets, auto gyros, and helicopters; and astronautical engineering, which focuses on the design and development of spacecraft. Aerospace engineering, particularly the astronautics branch, is often colloquially referred to as " rocket science".
Some of the recognized and elements of aerospace engineering that interests me :
I like the math and sciences which is what is required for an engineer or at least the fundamentals, so out of all my subjects I always loved mathematics and the physical sciences. The next reason would be the skills I have basically when I was a child I always engaged in building Lego and other building blocks and even now in high school the tech courses that I took I am always engaged in some kind of building. The next reason would also be since I am into designing in computers which I find really interesting and engaging to do. Again the tech courses that I took involved me in some kind of designing to get my thinking process get going so as you can see all of these reasons give me an opportunity to be successful in this career. |
